This is love: As the eldest, Kevin juggles school, chores, and caring for his sisters—stepping up when his family needs him most.

Kevin, a sixth-grader at Nueva Vida School (New Life School), attends alongside his two younger sisters—Victoria, in fourth grade, and Susana, in first grade. They live with their mother in a small one-story house. A tireless and courageous woman, she works more than 12 hours a day to provide for their education, meet their basic needs, and secure a brighter future for them.

A Young Man, With Great Responsibilities

As the eldest, Kevin shoulders responsibilities far beyond his years. Alongside keeping up with his schoolwork, he helps his mother with household chores and cares for his younger sisters. Though their mother does her best to arrange for someone to pick them up from school and prepare meals in advance, it isn’t always possible.

Kevin has become his family’s primary support. Liceo Nueva Vida has been a vital pillar for the Semanate family, providing not only academic education but also emotional and social support to all three children.

Strength in Sibling Support

Kevin has received unwavering support from his teachers, helping him develop his skills and balance his responsibilities. Victoria, in turn, has benefited from academic reinforcement, allowing her to excel in her studies. Meanwhile, Susana, the youngest, has found a safe and nurturing environment that fosters her learning and overall development.
