A New Year of Hope, Partnership, and Transformation at Liceo Nueva Vida
As we step into a new year, we do so with deep gratitude and renewed optimism. Over the past year, Impact Initiatives has seen God open doors that only He could open—strengthening partnerships, deepening trust, and expanding our collective ability to serve children and families in Colombia and the United States.
We are especially thankful for the growing collaboration with two special organizations. The first is El Camino Academy (ECA), a well known Christian school in Bogotá, Colombia established in 1980, and who’s K-12 education program is producing world impacting, Christian students, deeply committed to Jesus and to helping others. ECA has made our school, Liceo Nueva Vida, a service project and ECA students have visited the school to help in various ways. The second organization is the People Helping People Colombia Network, a Christian philanthropic and community development organization operating in Colombia.
Together, these partnerships have helped raise vital support, mobilize volunteers, and cultivate long-term relationships that are essential to sustainable impact. What began as shared vision is maturing into real, on-the-ground transformation—proof that when organizations unite around a common mission, the results multiply.
Because of this support, we move forward with confidence in 2026. With the ongoing generosity of our donors and faithful commitment of our child sponsors, we will continue bringing hope and stability to the lives of 300 children through Christ-centered education at Liceo Nueva Vida. Every classroom, lesson, and relationship is grounded in the gospel of Jesus—forming not only minds, but hearts, and pointing children toward a future filled with purpose and dignity.
A New Chapter of Leadership in Colombia
As we look ahead, we are also excited to share an important leadership update. We have officially hired Mónica Cárdenas as Executive Director of Fundación Karis, our sister organization that operates and manages Liceo Nueva Vida in Colombia.
Mónica brings exceptional experience in international development, education, and partnership-building, including more than a decade of senior leadership with Partners of the Americas. Her background includes leading multimillion-dollar programs, cultivating public–private partnerships, and strengthening education systems across Latin America. Her leadership, integrity, and deep understanding of Colombia uniquely position her to guide Fundación Karis into its next season of growth and impact.
Looking Forward Together
As we begin this new year, we do so anchored in faith and encouraged by community. The work ahead is meaningful, the needs are real, and the hope is alive. Thank you for standing with us—for believing in these children, for investing in Christian education, and for being part of a story that God is still writing.
Together, we look forward to another year of transformation, partnership, and hope.
