The Artist Who Fought for Her School

Camila is one of those stories that leaves a permanent imprint on the heart of Liceo Nueva Vida, a school supported by Impact Initiatives. She was one of the rare students who stayed at the school from early preschool all the way through 11th grade—dreaming, believing, and growing alongside it.

She was right to stay. Within its classrooms, she found a safe place to shape her character, nurture her creativity, and discover her purpose.

From Preschool to Student Leader

From a young age, Camila stood out for her kindness, her commitment to her teachers, and her talents in the arts, leadership, and service. Raised in a modest home in Altos de Cazucá by her mother and older brother, and without a father figure, she developed into a resilient, confident, and deeply spiritual young woman.

Liceo Nueva Vida became the perfect setting for her gifts to flourish—especially her love for music, theater, and artistic expression.

The Artist Who Never Stopped Dreaming

Camila brought joy and depth to countless school performances—through acting, music, and worship. She was known not only for her creative spark, but also for her servant heart and natural leadership. In her final year, she was elected student representative and led initiatives that enriched the school’s culture and unity.

Perhaps her most powerful impact came during the 2024 crisis, when the school’s future was uncertain. Camila responded with courage and compassion—organizing events, appearing in videos, and rallying support. She became a voice of love, resilience, and creativity that helped keep the school standing.

When Art and Faith Sustain a School

Thanks to her talent and the vocational guidance she received at Liceo Nueva Vida, Camila now studies acting, photography, and hosting at a respected university in Bogotá with a partial scholarship. Even now, she returns to the school to perform with her theater group and bring joy to the next generation of students.

She is strong, brave, spiritual, and generous—an artist with purpose, a leader with vision, and a living example of what Liceo Nueva Vida stands for.
