Liz A. L., a young Venezuelan girl, arrived at our Liceo Nueva Vida (New Life School) in seventh grade, along with her mother and some relatives, seeking refuge and new opportunities after facing the socioeconomic and political challenges in her home country. With few belongings and an uncertain future, Liz settled in Altos de Cazucá, where she found more than a school at our institution: a home full of hope and possibilities.
From her first day at Liceo Nueva Vida, Liz showed a resilient spirit and an unwavering desire to overcome obstacles. In the entrepreneurship area, she discovered her talent for crochet and knitting, skills that not only became a passion but also an opportunity to transform her life. With the support of her teacher and the school’s values and entrepreneurship training program, Liz started her own business project. What began as a small dream turned into a microenterprise that has allowed Liz to sell her creations, support her family financially, and sustain her studies.
But her success is not limited to entrepreneurship. Liz has also flourished in the artistic and spiritual fields. She is part of the school’s worship group, where she develops her passion for singing and musical instruments. Her skill in playing the violin and learning the piano is a testament to her dedication and how Liceo Nueva Vida has enhanced her exceptional talents.
